man 77 years 160 cm 55 kg
Diagnoses
Caregiving for a 77-year-old senior in Bad Homburg is planned for a temporary period of four to six weeks. This position has arisen as a need for a substitute during the hospitalization and subsequent recovery of the client's wife, who otherwise provides exemplary care for him. The gentleman weighs 55 kg and is 160 cm tall, and due to advanced Alzheimer's dementia and general weakness, he is exclusively bedridden. The primary professional care, including hygiene and wound care, is provided twice daily by an outpatient nursing service, so the focus of your work is mainly on presence and assistance with meals. Since the gentleman almost does not communicate and cannot express hunger or thirst himself, your key role is the regular provision of food and fluids. Great patience is essential during feeding, as the client has difficulty swallowing. Care also includes occasional repositioning in bed as needed. In addition to direct assistance to the client, you will be responsible for the regular running of the household, which includes cooking, laundry, and maintaining cleanliness. The excellent location of the apartment is advantageous, with shopping facilities available within a five-minute walk. During the period when the wife is in the hospital, you will have the entire apartment at your disposal, ensuring a high level of privacy. Upon her return, your job responsibilities will remain unchanged, as the wife does not require any care or assistance in the household. Night duty is not regularly needed, as the gentleman sleeps peacefully at night and would only require help in exceptional cases. Accommodation is provided in a furnished guest room with internet access.

Finding a family is a highly individual matter for each applicant, and therefore there is no exact timeframe for when we will find you a family with whom you will be mutually compatible. In some cases, we are able to arrange work within a few days; in other instances, the waiting period can be up to a month. For families in Switzerland, due to high demand, the wait may extend to two months.
If you are interested, we can arrange transportation for you. We have long-term partnerships with transport companies that our caregivers happily use repeatedly. Of course, you can also choose another transportation method that you prefer. The caregiver pays for the journey themselves, with the family in Germany contributing €150-200 towards it, and in Switzerland 380 CHF.
In Germany, the standard length of a work period is 4 to 6 weeks, while in Switzerland it's 2 months. In the case of temporary replacements, the periods are shorter.
